Online DIY Makgeolli Homebrewing Event

While people wait out the pandemic, Orlando residents have the opportunity to not only learn a news skill but also make their own mak. A butcher by the name of Orlando Meats (I don’t understand either) will be selling DIY makgeolli kits and then holding a live video event to help your brand new homebrewer walk through the steps to bubbly goodness. Excerpts from the Bungalower Media article:

The first workshop will be hosted by Chef Eliot Hillis, culinary director of Orlando Meats (Facebook Website) and host of Off-Cuts podcast (Website). Chef Hillis will be sharing a special recipe he has to make your own tasty makgeolli, a Korean alcoholic beverage…

Starting Wednesday, April 15, Orlando Meats will be selling a limited amount of DIY kits that you can purchase for $10 and make along with us from your kitchens on Friday, April 17 at 7 p.m. when we share a special live video featuring Chef Eliot Hillis and our editor Brendan O’Connor.

You can read the whole Bungalower Media article here.

And, if you can’t get the kit because you’re not in the Orlando area, you can still watch Chef Hillis’ video or check out the plethora of homebrewing videos on YouTube.
